Overview
ProFolio Hub is the public-facing application for publishing portfolios and connecting with other creative professionals. It focuses on public profiles, published work, and project discovery.
The public project is distinct from the internal ProFolioHub application, which handles management and administration workflows.
Public profiles and discovery
The public frontend is built with Next.js and includes responsive presentation, SEO-oriented rendering, and SWR-based data fetching. The supplied project scope also includes Gemini-powered recommendations for networking and content discovery.
Public screens support browsing published work and profiles without exposing the protected content-management responsibilities of the internal application.
Technical approach
The source stack includes Next.js, React, TypeScript, SWR, ShadCN UI, Tailwind CSS, Zod, JWT, and Google Gemini AI. Public profile rendering remains separate from account and content-management operations.
SWR is used for fetching product data in the public frontend, while the interface is built with the supplied ShadCN UI and Tailwind CSS stack.
Authentication and data boundaries
The supplied design uses JWT tokens in HTTP-only cookies for authentication. PostgreSQL supports account and authentication data, while MongoDB supports user-generated portfolio content; these data responsibilities remain distinct.
Protected operations stay behind the backend boundary rather than being treated as part of the public profile and discovery experience.
