Overview

Primal Powerhouse brings the client coaching journey into one application. Clients can work with daily nutrition, training, check-ins, progress information, and communication without moving between disconnected tools.

A daily dashboard brings together meals, check-in status, training activity, coaching updates, and current progress so the client can see what needs attention that day.

Client and coach workflows

  • Built client workflows for meal plans, training sessions, check-ins, shopping lists, progress, and account settings.
  • Built separate coach and administration workflows for managing clients, plans, activity, and communication.
  • Supported meal choices such as meal swaps while preserving the coach’s structured plan.
  • Integrated direct coach messaging with image, video, and audio attachments alongside unread states.

Technical approach

The product uses Next.js, React, TypeScript, Prisma, and PostgreSQL to connect client and operational workflows through structured data. Pusher supports real-time messaging, Cloudinary handles media, and Web Push supports notifications.

The same product data supports both the client view and the coach’s operational work, rather than maintaining separate plans or progress records for each side.

Plan structure and integrations

Shopping lists are generated from selected meals, and training plans support scheduled days, exercise instructions, and recorded sets. Authentication covers email/password and Google sign-in, while the coach application includes AI-assisted nutrition tooling for adapting meal templates.

Account workflows include notification preferences, privacy controls, session management, data export, and account deletion. These controls sit alongside the core coaching workflows rather than in a separate account experience.
